Human resource management has entered a new stage of evolution in which specialized applications change interactions inside an organization. Lately, not only have such applications proven to be effective in optimizing organizational flows, but they have become indispensable in the context of multiple legislative changes.
The IT systems used to register the working hours on a daily basis are the most viable alternative to the traditional time registers, thus contributing to an efficiency in filling in the time-sheets by over 70%.
This is also the case for MyStaff Time module, developed by Smartree Romania, which has become even more useful over the past months, since employers have the obligation to keep track of the starting and ending hours of the work program of their employees. Collecting data on the presence and absence of employees can become tedious in the absence of specialized software and can generate errors when data is processed in excel files, especially when we relate to a large number of employees.

Timekeeping software for the organizations of the future
Although the latest legislative amendment of the Labor Code complicates the lives of employers, the Time and Attendance software, an integrated part of the HRMS application, MyStaff, keeps a clear record of the entry and exit hours. Also, this records the hours worked by day or night, the overtimes, the hours recovered or worked hours during legal holidays.
MyStaff Time app also manages the timekeeping of employee that work in shifts, which means that the number of hours worked per month is different from the number of working hours per month. This is possible by managing the extra or minus hours and by offsetting them monthly.
The time-sheets can be pre-filled by each employee with the number of hours worked equal to the standard in force, during the working days according to the law. In this way, users do not have to complete time-sheets daily. Instead they can only edit the exceptions and make requests, when necessary.
The electronic time and attendance files offer advantages to both the employers and the employees. This allows them to benefit from real-time information by accessing a web-based platform where they can view reports of the hours worked, holiday leave situations, and where they can also initiate various requests, such as absence situations.
Moreover, using a timekeeping software, once the data is collected, at the end of the month, this is transferred directly to the Payroll module, where the actual salary calculation takes place.
