Based on anonymized and aggregated payroll data, Smartree created an index, on two dimensions: Economy Report and Employee Well-being.
The report is based on data analyzed from over 200 companies with over 450,000 annually processed payslips.
The Economy Report Index consists of the evolution of the number of employees and of the salaries, in the analyzed companies, nationwide. The quarterly index reflects the three monthe average of the two indicators, relative to the same quarter of the previous year, to avoid seasonal adjustments.
In the analysis were considered all types of labor contracts (limited or unlimited period, full time or part time). In terms of salary, it is the remaining payment (which the employee receives at the end of the working month) after the adjustment with the contributions, taxes and any retains.
The Employee Well-being index is constructed by three indicators that reflect the well-being of the employees of the analyzed companies: the days of annual leave and sick leave and the value of the received bonuses.
Evolution from a quarterly to another, similar period of the previous year, the Employee Well-being index is presented as a percentage, average rates of evolution of the three indicators previously appointed.
The report on the Employee Well-being was conducted taking into account the time&attendance elements as annual leave days and medical leave days. The bonuses taken into account considered exclude the meal tickets and the benefits in kind.
The specific indeces presented by Smartree allow HR and top managers to adjust their policies on employees in response to market trends.
Both the Economy Report index and the Employee Well-being index are available monthly or yearly, but their communication to media takes place quarterly, 5 days after closing the last month of payroll included in the quarterly analysis.
