The returning from parental leave is obtained through a request to return filed on the employer by the person who was on leave. This request to return from parental leave may file at any time during the suspension of the labor contract.
On expiry of the period for which the individual labor contract was suspended for parental leave, the employer records the end of the suspension based on the decision that recorded this suspension. The decision to suspend de contract includes the start date and end date of the suspension.
After submitting the request and return to work, if the beneficiary of parental leave returns earlier than entitled, may receive a monthly incentive insertion equal to the social reference index value (500 lei in 2013). This incentive can be received only if requested by an application at city hall where the beneficiary domiciled belongs, up to the child’s age of 2 years.
