Web portal for employees via secured access
The Employee Self Service Portal facilitates the access of the company’s employees to the Smartree software applications that power the personnel database of the company. Out of each Smartree service level that has been purchased, the portal is the gateway to those components which the employees are authorized to use. The interface is intuitive, personalized and unique for each employee and the access to the information is secured on a username-password basis, with restrictive data viewing rights, and through other technical means that ensure the security and confidentiality of the information.
The portal is addressed to all employees, whether it is only for accessing their own data, or for performing business operations. Thus, there are two perspectives offered by the portal, each corresponding to a specific role: Employee and Manager.
Independently from his status as an employee, each person identifies itself through a series of unique pieces of information. The accuracy of this information is highly important for official reporting. This data may include first name, last name, PNC (Personal Numeric Code), date of birth, family members, graduated studies and any other personal information the company considers as relevant.
This section is dedicated to the defining elements of the employer-employee relationship, such as date of employment, type of labor contract, current position within the company and history of previously held positions, accrued vacation days, seniority etc. The employee will not be allowed to modify any employment information but only to view it, which will help him track his path within the company.
This area eliminates any confusion related to salaries calculation algorithms and due amounts. The main functionality refers to the access to the monthly pay slip, which allows the employee to know exactly the owed amounts and to track the salary calculating algorithm, while having detailed information on every record. Each amount on the payroll slip can be accompanied by explanations of the calculating formulas, different types of taxes applied, deductions, benefits or rates.
